Cambium Networks introduces a LITE model of the PMP 450i Access Point (AP). It will function exactly as the existing PMP 450i AP but be restricted to having 20 subscribers connected. A key can be purchased to remove this restriction.

Q: Why is Cambium Networks introducing this part?

A: Cambium realizes that there are sectors that require relatively few subscriber connections and that the return on investment in a full AP is not feasible. The LITE models may allow the network to expand with reasonable return on investment.

Q: What is the difference between LITE models and the regular (or full) Access Point?

A: The only difference is the restriction of connected Subscriber Modules (SMs). The LITE version will support only 20.
